because / since / as / for
四个词均表示原因,都是连词,其中because,since as为从属连词,引导原因状语从句,for为并列连词,一般不引导状语从句.四个词的语气由强至弱依次为because → since → as → for
(1)because意为"因为",表直接原因,回答why引导的原因状语,引导从句多用于主句之后.
(2)since意为"既然,由于",侧重主句,从句表示已知的理由.
(3)as 意为"由于,鉴于"主句说明结果,从句说明原因.
(4)for意为"因为,由于",表示附加或推断的理由.多用逗号隔开,一般不放在句首.
