another 意为"另一个,再一个".指三者或多个不定数目中的另一个,后接单数可数名词,前面不定冠词修饰.三个以上的东西先说one,再说another.最后说the third.

the other 指"两者中的另一个,其余的另外的".the other后面可接可数名词单数或复数形式.指"其余的人或物,剩余的人或物".
