  教学内容介绍

  该课是对高二英语第六模块第十六单元Communication Workshop中writing进行设计的一堂写作欣赏和指导课。是在高中英语新课程改革背景下,对写作教学模式的一次尝试性变革。该课一改传统的以老师为教学主体,学生被动接受的教学方法,鼓励学生以小组合作的方式对问题进行主动探究和讨论以完成特定的任务。以此来培养学生自主学习和合作互助的精神,发挥他们的学习积极性和主动性,激发学习英语的热情。

  二、具体的教学设计流程

  本节课采用了“自主,互动,探究”的教学方式,辅助以多媒体,达到较好的教学效果。教学流程如下:

  Step one: lead in Question: what kind of composition can be considered as a good one? Or we can judge a good composition from which aspects?

  The students would have a heated discussion about this question as it is not so difficult. Also, they would have different opinions.

  Step two: let the students look at three passages about the same topic, then think about and talk about how the writer attracts the attention of the reader.

  For this task, the group would be very interested in it. Because every one of them can experience different writing ways of the beginning of a composition. So they all have something to say about their favorite one.

  Step three:the students will talk about how the writer shows the order of events.

  It is most easy for the student to find out the right words and phrases that show the order of events after their cooperation. This step aim to let them know the importance of the order, which can be linked in different words and phrases.

  Step four :the students would like to share their opinion about how the writer shares feelings with the reader, as they are also the reader for the composition. They can appreciate the charming of the language.

  Step five :the discussion for “how the writer used vivid language to make the writing more interesting” would be very keen because every student can find out so many such sentences to tell their partners.

  Step six :writing a composition that is similar to this one. Then ask some to present for the whole class who will correct it altogether.

  三、本课设计的指导思想

  要使英语教学的效果达到最优化,关键的问题应该是给学生创造一个宽松、民主、融洽的课堂环境,鼓励他们体验、讨论、合作和探究,发挥他们的学习主动性和积极性。教师应尽快从旧教材旧教法的框框中解放出来,转变思想,更新观念,注重“以人为本”,发挥学生的主动性,充分体现以学生为中心的教学理念。再则,兴趣是最好的老师,在教学实践中应重视学生学习英语兴趣的培养,激发学生的学习兴趣。对于传统的老师讲授学生听的教学方法,已很难激发学生的学习积极性。而通过小组的合作讨论探究,学生学有所得,在发言的时候有话可说,而且教师与学生的角色互换,使得学生有一种平等参与感,更能激发他们的学习兴趣。

  四、教学方法分析

  本堂课遵循语言学习的规律,采用任务型语言教学,以学生的生活经验和兴趣为出发点,设计的任务有明确的目的并具有可操作性。学生的小组讨论以具体的任务为载体,以完成任务为动力,把知识和技能融为一体,很好得完成了教学任务。在教学过程中,教师搬演的角色是组织者、引导者、合作者,诱导学生积极主动地参与教学活动。
