　　Unit 8 First Aid

　　高中英语新课程要求高中生通过学习外语，一是发展心智，情感，态度与价值观，同时提高人文素养。二是掌握一门国际通用的语种为学习外国先进的文化，科学技术和国际交往创造条件。新课改要求我们遵循"以人为本"的教育理念。在教学中，重点发展学生语言运用能力，交际能力，获取及处理信息的能力，思维及表达能力，注重语言的应用性，交际性。

　　一、教学设计：

　　英语语言的国际性这一客观事实已为众人所认可，因此阅读无可置否是语言学习的重要方面之一。科学的阅读过程既是一个积极主动地思考、理解和接受信息的过程，也是一种复杂的心智活动和情感活动的过程。其中，阅读主体的感知、理解、评价、创造是和必不可少的。

　　二、课堂重点环节实录

　　本节阅读课，主要教学目标是提高学生的阅读水平，让学生更好地了解急救知识。

　　为了达到教学目标，我的教学思路和设计如下：

　　首先引入话题，因为前一节课已完成了热身（Warming up ）和说话(Speaking)部分，故设计一个情景，引出话题 “急救”，通过五个小问题来让学生大概地了解什么是急救。

　　What is first aid?

　　1. Why should we do first aid?

　　To save one’s life as soon as possible

　　2. Who can do first aid?

　　Anyone with the right first aid knowledge

　　3. Whom can we do first aid for?

　　The injured person

　　4. When should we do first aid?

　　Before a doctor comes

　　5. Where should we do first aid?

　　Scene of an accident

　　接下来就是阅读“DR ABC”，采用快速阅读，仔细阅读到最后进一步（深层次）讨论的方法来讲解。在快速阅读中先让学生了解文章大意；下一步进行仔细阅读，学生先对文章进行分段(部分)，后仔细阅读以了解文章内容；最后深层次的讨论，给出两个问题：1.“DR ABC”的含义是什么？2.作者写这篇文章的目的是告诉我们什么？
